Media group Scottish Radio Holdings, which owns Ireland on Sunday and has a 22% stake in Today FM, has reported a 27% rise in pre-tax profits to £20m sterling for the year to the end of September.
Sales were up 30% to £71.7m and the company said trading in the first month of the current financial year was again showing an increase.
Finance director John Rowland said the company was keen to expand in Britain and Ireland, but would not comment on whether it would increase its Today FM stake. It plans to relaunch Ireland on Sunday in January.
SRH is planning to spend over £1m over the next year to support its digital and Internet strategies.
