People Before Profit-Solidarity has described its alternative budget plans as "less fiscally reckless" than the Government.
The proposals, launched today, include a Corporation Tax rise of 20%, the abolition of the Universal Social Charge for incomes under €100,000, and the use of the €14.1 billion in Apple tax money to establish a State construction firm.
Deputy Paul Murphy said the plans are "transformative" compared to other parties.
He said it suited the Government for people to believe that one-off payments rather than long-term tax and funding plans are a "giveaway" budget.
Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett added that PBP-Solidarity's proposals are "less fiscally reckless" than the Government's reported budget plans.
