A man has been arrested after a woman's body was discovered near an IPAS accommodation centre in Co Galway this morning.
A woman in her 30s was found dead after gardaí were called to the premises near the Galway Road in Clifden.
They said the woman's body was discovered nearby.
A man in his 30s has been arrested and is receiving medical treatment.
Gardaí said they are following a definite line of inquiry and are not looking for any one else in relation to the incident.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí said the results of a post-mortem examination on the woman's body will determine the course of their investigation.
