Every day, Tony Godsil collects litter from Sandymount Strand in Dublin with the help of a litter-picking four-legged friend, his dog Sally.
RTÉ News spoke to the environmentally conscious duo as a new report from the Environmental Protection Agency said the quality of bathing water remained high across Ireland in 2025, with 98% of sites meeting or exceeding the minimum standard.
The EPA said Sandymount was one of several areas to see improvements following targeted actions by Uisce Éireann and local authorities.
