Former taoiseach Bertie Ahern has hit the headlines after making comments on immigration in a video circulating on social media.
It was filmed without his knowledge on a doorstep of a house while he was canvassing for the Fianna Fáil candidate in the Dublin Central bye-election.
Political Correspondent Barry Lenihan told Behind the Story reaction to his comments has been swift across the political spectrum.
Earlier, Mr Ahern said he had "no problem" with asylum seekers amid the criticism.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that the views on immigration expressed by Mr Ahern do not represent the views of Fianna Fáil or their candidate in Dublin Central.
Rise in website scams
The annual report of the Irish Internet Hotline organisation reveals a significant growth in online shopping scams - up from 15% in 2023 to 30% in 2025.
Muriel Foley, digital marketing consultant, told Fran and Paul that fake websites are getting harder to spot.
"It’s so easy to code a website and duplicate a website," she said.
"You can type a prompt into a chatbot and get it to build you a website within seconds."
She said scammers are using AI to "learn about Irish lingo and learn about brands that are trusted" here.
"There are noticeable differences in how some of the websites are put together and formatted," she said.
Ms Foley said some of the signs to look out for include ‘too good to be true’ discounts.
"Is the website taking a little bit longer to load? Does this look legitimate, especially if it’s a discount," she said.
"In some cases, it’s a little bit harder to spot, but I’m getting people to [realise] that discount is too good to be true.
"Look at their pictures on their website, look at the quality of their pictures – a lot of them are AI-generated."
Ms Foley also recommends people "take a step out of that website" and perform an online search for any scams before making a purchase – especially if they are brought there through an online advert.
