The Food Safety Authority (FSAI) has issued recall notices for various batches of Manor Farm, and Western Brand chicken products, as well as a notice for specific batches of Lidl chicken breast fillet products due to the presence of salmonella.
The authority also urged consumers to check their freezers for the products and said recall notices will be displayed at the point of sale.
The impacted chicken products produced by Manor Farm are sold in major supermarkets, including: Aldi, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Centra, SuperValu, Tesco, and are branded under the names of its customers.
While, Western Brand is recalling various batches of chicken products under the Lidl and Inishella brand names.
In addition, other impacted products are batches of Lidl's Free Range 100% Irish Chicken Breast Fillets 291g, and 100% Irish Diced Chicken Breast Fillets 550g.
Impacted products have use-by dates between 12 and 13 April.
The FSAI said that although the batches are past their use-by date, they are "suitable for home freezing".
It has advised consumers to check their freezers for the implicated batch and not to eat any of the products.

The FSAI said: "People infected with salmonella typically develop symptoms between 12 and 36 hours after infection, but this can range between six and 72 hours.
"The most common symptom is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody. Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps.
"The illness usually lasts four to seven days. Diarrhoea can occasionally be severe enough to require hospital admission.
"The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness."
Yesterday, the FSAI also issued a recall of specific batches of Western Brand Sage & Onion Cook in Bag whole chicken, also due to the possible presence of Salmonella.
The products are sold in both Aldi and Tesco, with use by dates of 13 and 14 May.
