Check it out! UCD's 'Library of Things' one year on

The 'Library of Things' ethos has definitely become a thing in Ireland in recent years, with projects ranging from small, volunteer-led efforts to large-scale institutional initiatives.

The trend revolves around people being able to borrow handy, everyday items - everything from tools to toys.

Organisers say it reduces waste and can help people save money.

The UCD Library of Things is believed to be the first of its kind in an Irish university.

A joint initiative by UCD Library, UCD Access and Lifelong Learning and UCDSU, it aims to promote sustainability and support students struggling with the cost of living.

It has been running for just over a year now, with more and more items being added to keep up with demand.
