A man in his 30s has been found dead in a Co Mayo home.
Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of the man in Castlebar.
A spokesperson said emergency services were alerted to the scene after 9am when the man was found unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardaí have said the coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and the scene remains preserved.
They have said the course of their investigation will be determined by a post-mortem examination.
