Security camera footage released by US Attorney Jeanine Pirro reportedly shows how suspect Cole Tomas Allen started his attack at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner last Saturday.
Mr Allen is seen running through a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton hotel and shooting an agent at point blank range.
Reuters was able to verify the location by the design of the floor, windows, door and gym which matched archive imagery of the Washington Hilton.
US President Donald Trump and the head of the Secret Service said yesterday that the federal agent injured during the attack had not been hit by friendly fire.
