Broadband provider Imagine has agreed a new multi‑million‑euro strategic network partnership with open eir, Ireland's largest wholesale telecommunications provider.
Under the three‑year agreement, open eir will provide Imagine with extensive access to its national fibre network, mobile network and more than 170 Points of Presence (PoPs) nationwide.
The partnership also includes collaboration on mobile broadband, with a pilot currently live delivering more than 4,000 5G home broadband devices using the eir mobile network with 5G service reach to over 99% of the population.
"This partnership gives us the network scale, reach and resilience we need as we move more customers onto fibre and 5G, and supports our long‑term plan to grow responsibly and sustainably," said Niall Tallon, CEO, Imagine.
