Two men aged in their late teens have died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Mayo overnight.
The crash occurred on a local road, the L5140, in Laghtadawannagh near Ballina at around 4.15am.
The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other occupants of the car, two boys in their mid-teens and one adult woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Mayo University Hospital.
The road remains closed as gardaí conduct a technical examination with local traffic diversions in place.
The coroner has been notified and post-mortem examinations will be conducted in due course.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them, particularly any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, from the area at the time.
