A 63-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in his 50s in Dublin's north inner city last month.
Tatjana Talockina was brought before the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon, charged with the murder of Navin Amir Sultanov, from Eastern Europe, on Foster Terrace in Ballbough on 31 January.
Ms Talockina, who is originally from Latvia, was also charged with the assault of another woman in her 60s at her home on the same date.
Detective Garda Kevin Bambrick of Fitzgibbon Street Garda station gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution and said Ms Talockina made no reply to either charge.
Ms Talockina could not apply for bail on Saturday, given the nature of the charge, which requires an application to be brought before the High Court.
Her solicitor, Michael Hennessy, asked that she appear via video link for her next scheduled hearing on Thursday.
Mr Hennessy applied for legal aid which was granted by Judge Conor Fottrell.
He also asked that his client received psychiatric, physical and medial treatment while in custody, which Judge Fottrell acceded to.
She due to appear again before the Court next Thursday.
