A man has been arrested over a hit-and-run in Co Cavan where two people were injured, one critically earlier last week.
Gardaí said a woman in her 20s was struck by a vehicle on the L1513 Drumlark, Loreto Wood at around 6.45pm on 17 February.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene on foot and a passenger, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured.
The man in his 20s has been detained at a garda station in the North Western Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
