Gardaí investigating a serious assault on a man in Temple Bar in Dublin in the early hours of Wednesday morning have arrested two people.
The men were arrested last night (Friday) and are being questioned at separate Dublin Garda Stations.
Gardaí are still trying to identify the victim of the attack and have released an image of a tattoo he has on his right forearm.
The man remains in a critical condition in hospital.
He was attacked by two men on Cope Street shortly after arriving there on an e-scooter at around 12.30am on Wednesday morning.
He was punched, kicked and hit a number of times with the e-scooter after it was taken from him.
His assailants left him unconscious on the ground, but then returned a short time later and attacked him again, breaking his arm.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Gardaí are still trying to identify the victim and say he has a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.
They have released an image of the tattoo, a blue and white flag with the words "Ceol is Beatha" meaning 'music is life'.
They are hoping that someone will recognise it and contact them.
The two men arrested are aged in their 20s and 30s and are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at separate Garda Stations and can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
The Gardaí have also renewed their appeal to anyone who was in the Cope Street area between midnight and 1.00am last Wednesday morning who may have information, mobile or dash-cam footage to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station.
