Watch: Older people reflect on what 'love' really means

It is Valentine's Day - a day for celebrating love.

But what does 'love' really mean, and how can the way we define it change from youth to later life?

At a Valentine-themed Friends of the Elderly social club meeting in Dublin, we spoke to attendees about what love means to them and what advice they would pass onto younger generations.

Paddy and Maura O'Brien have been together since 1970. They "love each other immensely" and said the secret to a lasting marriage is "forgiveness, and knowing no one is perfect".

Georgina Clarke's husband died in a road traffic accident when she was 22 years old and she still talks to him every night. Now at 86, she believes "love is something that comes to you, you don't go out and look for it".
