Gardaí have reissued an appeal for information on the 21st anniversary of the murder of 36-year-old Shaun Duffy in Co Donegal.
Mr Duffy was attacked and fatally wounded at his home in Mín na Croise outside An Clochán Liath in the early hours of 29 January 2005.
He was a 36-year-old bachelor who was well known in the area. He worked as an undertaker and as a mechanic and had an interest and involvement in motor racing and horse sales.
Mr Duffy had been socialising in the Strand View Bar in An Machaire in the west Donegal Gaeltacht on Friday, 28 January 2005.
It was his younger brother Kevin's birthday and Mr Duffy was there with friends and family.
After the pub, Mr Duffy continued to socialise at his mother's house in Mín na Croise and returned to his own home at around 2.30am.
He was attacked and fatally wounded in his home in Mín na Croise in the early hours of Saturday, 29 January 2005.
His body was discovered there shortly before 2.30pm that afternoon.
Gardaí believe a number of people have yet to come forward who may now be in a position to help in bringing those responsible to justice.
Investigating gardaí said any information received will be treated with absolute confidentiality.
