A woman in her 60s has died following a house fire in Singland, Limerick city this evening.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire in Chesterfield Downs at approximately 5.30pm.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body remains at the scene, which has been preserved for technical examination.
No other injuries were reported.
Gardaí said the outcome of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of their investigation.
