Over €1.2 million worth of drugs and contraband have been seized in the week before Christmas.
Last week, Revenue officials seized contraband with an estimated value of over €455,500 in various operations in Dublin, the midlands, and Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford.
This included 11.6kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €232,458, 5kg of cannabis resin, with an estimated value of over €30,010, and various other illicit drugs, with an estimated value of over €3,630.
Other seized items included 2.4kg of butane honey oil with an estimated value of €48,000, tobacco products with an estimated value of more than €21,005, and over 344.68 litres of alcohol with an estimated value of almost €3,875.
Revenue said 282 counterfeit items with an estimated value of over €99,375.
€17,123 in cash and six weapons were also seized.
The herbal cannabis and illicit drug seizures were made as a result of risk profiling and with drug detector dogs Ciara and Sam.
The parcels, originating from the USA, UK, Thailand, India, Spain, and France, were destined for various addresses.
The counterfeit goods were seized as they were confirmed by the Rights Holder to have infringed on Intellectual Property Rights.
Today, a further seizure was made at Shannon Airport, where €760,000 worth of cannabis was seized.
The 38kg worth of herbal cannabis was made with the help of drug detector dogs Brody and Gus.
The illegal drugs were discovered in shipments originating from the USA and were destined for addresses in the south and Mid-West.
The seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting illegal drugs, smuggling and shadow economy activity.
"If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295," Revenue said in a statement.
