There was significant traffic congestion around Dublin after part of the M50 was closed due to a vehicle fire.

The M50 was closed earlier at Junction 7 northbound due to a bin truck on fire. It was having a knock-on effect on traffic on surrounding roads such as the N4.

Drivers were advised to plan an alternative route as visibility may be impacted.

The Phoenix Park Tunnel line was suspended, but has since reopened.

Earlier in the evening, Red Line Luas services were suspended between Blackhorse and Connolly and The Point due to a road traffic collision which happened between Park Gate Street Junction and Temple Street West.

Services are now back in operation.
