Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan has been found guilty of the criminal damage of a transgender woman's phone at an event in London last year, but not guilty of harassment.
Linehan had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The offences were alleged to have happened between 11-27 October last year.
Linehan, who appeared at Westminster Magistrate's Court this morning, accepted he took and threw Sophia Brook's phone at a 'Battle of Ideas' conference in London on 19 October. He said he did so due to harassment and to prevent a crime.

Judge Briony Clarke said she was satisfied that Linehan was "reckless" and was "not preventing a crime" when he threw the phone.
However, on the charge of harassment, she found Linehan not guilty.
Judge Clarke told the court that she found him to be a credible witness and that his actions were not "oppressive".
She added that at times she found that Sophia Brooks was not giving entirely truthful evidence, although she did not reject it entirely.
Judge Clarke said it was not for the court to "pick a side" in the gender identity debate.
Linehan has been issued a £500 penalty by the court. He will not have to pay compensation as the phone was not repaired.
Linehan's barrister Sarah Vine told the court that he will appeal the conviction of criminal damage.
