A man in his 70s has died following a house fire in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a house in Carrigeen in Clonmel at around 6pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place.
No other injuries were reported.
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination, gardaí said.
Investigations are ongoing.
