A teenager from Dublin says she is sharing her experience of being homeless to 'end the stigma' around the housing crisis.
17-year-old Aoibheann Tierney addressed an audience of more than 1,000 schoolchildren at the Helix for Child Talks 2025, the annual World Children's Day event from the Ombudsman for Children’s Office.
Aoibheann was one of six inspiring young people who spoke on issues that matter to them.
Other topics included girls in STEM, extremism and misinformation, finding your voice as a newly arrived young person in Ireland, the need for public hang-out spots for teens and the importance of youth services.
