World leaders are meeting in Belém in Brazil in advance of the biggest climate summit of the year - COP30.
Brazil has defended the decision to host the United Nations conference at the gateway to the Amazon rainforest, emphasising the importance of showcasing the Amazon's biodiversity and communities, as well as providing the world with a unique platform to discuss climate solutions.
