A teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after he was stabbed up to twenty times in Dublin last night.
The 17-year-old was attacked after he was refused entry to The Wiley Fox pub on Eden Quay in the city centre at around 10pm.
A group of around four or five young men wearing dark clothes with their heads covered attacked and stabbed the teenager.
He tried to escape and ran into the pub but was followed and stabbed again there several times.
His attackers then fled the scene on E-scooters.
The teenager was taken to the Mater Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
He remains in a critical condition today.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
They are gathering CCTV footage from the area but are also seeking mobile phone and dashcam footage.

Last night's attack was the second stabbing incident in Dublin city centre over the weekend.
On Saturday night an English tourist in his 20’s was attacked and stabbed following a verbal row in the Temple Bar area of the city.
He was taken to St James’ Hospital where is injuries are described as non-life threatening.
A man in his 20’s was arrested and he appeared in court today charged in connection with the attack.
