Gardaí will this morning resume the forensic examination on open ground in North County Dublin where human skeletal remains were found as part of the search for a missing child.
They believe the remains are those of Daniel Aruebose, who went missing over four years ago when he was approximately three years old.
The remains are expected to be removed from the site on the Portrane Road for a post-mortem examination later today.
Gardaí had been searching the land for the past two weeks after they had been told that the toddler, Daniel Aruebose had died of natural causes and had been secretly buried at the Donabate site.
The skeletal remains and some clothing discovered with them yesterday morning remained at the scene overnight pending completion of the forensic examination.
The scene where the human remains were discovered remains preserved pending the arrival of a state pathologist and a forensic anthropologist.
Gardaí believe they are those of Daniel Aruebose but DNA samples will be taken to confirm the child's identity and a formal identification will take place.
Three large black tents cover the area where the grim discovery was made.
Work at the site was suspended overnight.

Gardaí were informed of the disappearance of Daniel by TUSLA after the Department of Social Protection alerted the child protection agency to irregularities in an application for child support payments.
TUSLA also confirmed it previously had dealings with Daniel and his family.
These are now being collated to be examined by the National Review Panel.
The human skeletal remains are expected to be exhumed later today in what gardaí say will be "a careful and sensitive" manner.
A specialist forensic paediatric pathologist will also be engaged to conduct a post-mortem on the child’s remains to try to establish the cause of death.
The results will determine the course of the investigation.
Detectives hope it will indicate whether the child’s death was accidental, from natural causes or related to something more sinister.

The investigation is being fully resourced and supported by National units including Garda National Technical Bureau, Garda Air Support Unit, Garda Dog Unit and the Garda Síochána Analysis Service.
External expertise including a Forensic Anthropologist, Forensic Archaeologist and specialist PSNI Cadaver Dogs have also been utilised.
Daniel Aruebose lived at The Gallery Apartments in Donabate before he went missing.
The child’s home has already been searched and forensically examined but gardaí say they are continuing to carry out house-to-house inquiries in the area and are anxious to speak to anyone who lived there since July 2019.
They are asking people not to assume that detectives already know what they know.
They have released a photograph of the child in the hope of progressing the investigation and procuring further information about his short life and tragic death.
They have also warned that misinformation and misinformed commentary about this case is circulating particularly on social media and they have asked people to verify what they are hearing and reading and to get their information from reputable sources.
