A diversity carnival against racism will take place in Dublin later this month.
United Against Racism and LeChéile are organising the event on 27 September.
It will begin at the Garden of Remembrance and people will march to the Custom House.
Organisers have said the impetus for the event is the "horrifying rise" in racist violence against the Indian and other minority communities.
The National Women's Council and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions are supporting the initiative.
Organisers said: "The people being targeted by racist violence are our neighbours."
"Their children are the children of our neighbours," they said.
"We must stand by them and not allow the far-right to divide communities.
"The far-right play on people's frustrations with the politics of fear.
"They want you to believe that the crises in affordable and accessible housing, education, health care, and other services are the fault of immigrants."
