Over the past few weeks, the national flag has been appearing on lamp posts around Dublin.
Some Dublin councillors have expressed concern that the tricolour is being hijacked by anti-immigrant groups.
Katie and David discuss the use of the tricolour ahead of tonight's meeting of Dublin City Council, where the issue is on the agenda.
Irish Times sport writer Malachy Clerkin joins Katie and David to discuss Fianna Fáil presidential candidate hopeful, Jim Gavin.
Earlier today, Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan expressed his support for Mr Gavin - while Fianna Fáil MEP Barry Andrews announced his support for Billy Kelleher.

Mr Clerkin shares his insights on Jim Gavin who he got to know over the years when Mr Gavin was manager of Dublin football.
"He does not give much away unless it’s in his interests to give much away," he said.
"I have always thought and said that the greatest trick he ever pulled was to convince the world that he was boring, because that suited him.
"He is a genuinely interesting guy; how could he not be interesting?
"The guy used to fly the Government Jet, then give Bertie Ahern the salute and then head and play a match for Dublin.
"That’s a fundamentally interesting life".

Mr Clerkin recalled when the camera panned to Mr Gavin after a late goal in an All-Ireland semi-final back in 2013.
"This unbelievable match came to a boiling point – this is definitely up there as one of the great finishes – people talked about the ground actually shaking," he said.
"The camera cut to Jim Gavin and he was almost comically unmoved by this moment, utterly still".
Mr Clerkin subsequently asked Mr Gavin about his reaction "and he went into talking about life as a pilot and how it’s incredibly important as a pilot how, when everything is happening, you have to assess the situation and assess what happens next".
