A man has died from the injuries he sustained in a collision in Drogheda, Co Louth on Friday.
The collision, involving a motorcycle and a van, took place on John Street, Dublin Road in the town shortly before 7.10am on Friday morning.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was subsequently taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
He was pronounced dead today following the critical injuries he sustained in the incident.
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses to come forward.
They particularly want to speak to road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area of the Bull Ring and John Street between 7am and 7.10am on Friday.

Gardaí have also said that they are aware of footage of the incident being circulated on online messaging platforms.
They have said members of the public are strongly urged not to share this material out of respect for the deceased and their family.
Gardaí added that investigations are ongoing.
