The wait is over. The Traitors Ireland begins on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player tonight with host Siobhán McSweeney leading the game of lies, loyalty and lethal betrayals from Slane Castle.

In the opening episode, viewers will discover the full line-up of 24 players from across the country. Among them will be secret Traitors, chosen to deceive, manipulate and eliminate their rivals in the battle for up to €50,000. The rest, the Faithful, must work together to expose the saboteurs before it is too late.

McSweeney, best known for Derry Girls, presides over the action as suspicion, paranoia and dramatic twists take hold.
