CAO offers day has arrived, a key milestone for thousands of students across Ireland.
After months of study, exams, and anticipation, today is the day when applicants find out what college course they have been offered. For many, this marks the next big step in their education journey.
CAO points requirements are determined by the number of places on offer in a given course and the points obtained by students seeking places on the specific programme.
Applicants may receive a place on their first-choice course, or they could be offered a lower preference, with the chance of moving up in later rounds. Others might find no offer this time but will still have options available in the coming weeks.
Round 1 offers will be available from 2pm online and are also issued by e-mail and SMS text.
