A man in his 20s has died after a single-vehicle crash in Glanmire, Co Cork this morning.
The incident happened at around 6.50am on the M8 Southbound at J18, Upper Riverstown.
The man was brought to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead this afternoon.
The road remains closed for forensic examination and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6.40am and 7.15am have been asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
