A man in his 40s has died in a road collision in Waterford city.
The collision, involving a motorcycle and a car, occurred on the Williamstown road at around 1pm.
The man, who was on a motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford with non life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 12.50pm and 1.30pm, are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
Homeowners along the Williamstown Road who may have CCTV footage have also been asked to make this available.
