A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a 34-year-old man in Dublin last year.

Mark Carroll was found with serious injuries at a house in the Scribblestown area of Finglas in the early hours of 9 June 2024.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.

It is understood he had been stabbed.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and is being detained at a garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
