The motorcyclist who was involved in the crash in which Garda Kevin Flatley was killed last month has died in hospital.
The incident happened at a speed checkpoint on the R132, the old Swords to Balbriggan Road, at Lissenhall on 11 May.
Gda Flatley was using a speed gun and recorded a motorcyclist travelling at speed and tried to flag him down.
The motorcyclist, who was a man in his 30s, died at Beaumont Hospital yesterday evening.
Gardaí say family liaison officers are providing ongoing support and information to both families.
Gda Flatley, a member of the Roads Policing Unit, was 49 and had two young daughters.
