A shotgun, ammunition and four motorcycles have been seized by gardaí investigating organised crime and feuding criminal gangs in Finglas.
The search operation is part of the investigation into a bomb attack in Finglas last weekend.
A drone carrying an improvised explosive device, which gardaí believe was targeting a criminal's home, crashed into the home of an innocent family in Glenties Park on Sunday night.
The device failed to detonate and the Army bomb disposal team was called in to make it safe before it and the drone were removed for a forensic examination.
The incident is the latest in a series of violent tit-for-tat attacks among criminal gangs in Finglas for control of the drugs trade following the detention of 14 members of a Blanchardstown gang and the jailing of Glen Ward, the leader of the so-called Gucci Gang, and his brother Eric O'Driscoll.
Gardaí believe a well known criminal was involved in the bomb attack, which was the first time a drone was used to carry an explosive device.
The man, who is in his 40s, is known for his involvement in serious and organised crime, has several previous convictions and his home in Finglas has been shot at in the past by rival criminals.
In response to the bomb attack, a large force of gardaí carried out a series of raids in Finglas throughout yesterday.
Officers from Finglas, Blanchardstown and Cabra backed up by the Emergency Response Unit, the Armed Support Unit and the Dog Unit searched eight homes and seized a variety of weapons, drugs and devices.
A pump-action shotgun and 26 rounds of ammunition were recovered along with four motorcycles, a tracking device, phones and other technology.
Around €10,000 worth of cannabis and €4,200 worth of heroin was also seized.
Searches were also carried out earlier in the week but so far no arrests have been made.
Gardaí say their investigation is ongoing.
