Gardaí and the PSNI who are searching for missing 38-year-old Mayo man George Brennan are anxious to speak to a van driver who may have seen him.
Mr Brennan went missing in Northern Ireland over two weeks ago.
The PSNI said they are following up on a report that a man with a backpack was seen hitchhiking outside Limavady in Co Derry last Monday at around 4.45pm.
A member of the public came forward and said he saw a man get into a white van with writing on the side travelling towards Ballykelly.
Police say they are anxious to speak to the van driver and to anyone else who may have seen this man.
They believe Mr Brennan may have links to the causeway coast and glens area, and the mid and east Antrim area.
He is described as 1.9m (6'2) in height, around 100kg in weight, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was seen wearing a black zip-up top, dark jeans, runners and was carrying a blue hiking backpack.
His family say they are concerned for his safety and well-being.
Mr Brennan was also previously seen in Ballycastle in Co Antrim on 2 April.
He was captured on CCTV in the Spar shop on the Moyle Road in the town.
Gardaí and the PSNI have asked anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr Brennan to contact them.
