A man in his 30s has been arrested following the discharge of a firearm in Co Leitrim yesterday.
Gardaí responded to an emergency call to a residence in Killargue at around 3.20pm, with the armed support unit also attending the scene.
A taser was used as the armed support unit intervened, and the man was arrested at the scene.
He is being detained at a garda station in the Leitrim area.
A firearm was also seized, and has been sent for forensic and ballistic examination.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
