Watch: Six ways to say 'I love you' as Gaeilge

This Valentine's Day, an Irish language influencer is hoping that people will show their grá for Gaeilge while telling those closest to them that they love them.

Siobhán Fitzpatrick from Co Limerick is an Irish secondary school teacher and is one of a growing number of Gaeilgeoirí taking to social media to share their love of the language.

"There's a revival happening and it has been going on for a long time," she said. "I find that people are falling into Irish on their social media algorithms and are happy to see that content coming up. Social media is definitely a part of the resurgence of interest in the Irish language."

Siobhán shares daily phrases and useful Irish words on her @GaeilgeVibes Instagram and TikTok accounts.

"I wanted to connect with a community and have fun with the language and just engage with it in a positive way," she said.

"The language is precious and it's something we should look after. It's something to be cherished."
