RTÉ approved 177 external activities between July, August and September, according to the broadcaster's latest summary of the Register of External Activities.
The register covers the five divisions of RTÉ and members of staff must comply with it.
External activities are typically "once-off" activities, such as launching an event or product and speaking at a conference.
The breakdown of activities within each payment band confirmed that 51% of the requests approved entailed activities for which there was no payment/no benefit.
47% of the activities were in the €1 to €5,000 payment band and 1-2% were in the €5,001–€10,000 band.
Less than 1% of the activities were in the highest category, the €10,000 plus payment band.
RTÉ Director-General Kevin Bakhurst said the broadcaster "intended to publish greater detail but as RTÉ outlined with the Q1 publication, the Data Protection Commission was firmly of the view that specific legislative authority is required to publish the level of detail originally intended".
He added that the returns are "in keeping with those of Q1 and Q2 where around half of all approved external activities did not involve any payment or benefit".
"These are events where those working with RTÉ give freely of their time for charitable, sporting, community, academic and social reasons," he said.
In October, Mr Bakhurst said the Data Protection Commission had advised RTÉ that "in order to publish a public register containing this level of detail, specific legal underpinning in the form of primary or secondary legislation will be required".
Work on the issue is ongoing.
The register commenced in February 2024 as part of the broadcaster's commitment to greater transparency in the aftermath of the controversies at RTÉ in 2023.
