Watch: How do you feel about the prospect of a general election?

After months of speculation, we are inching closer and closer to finally knowing the date of the general election.

The Taoiseach has said he will bring clarity to the matter "shortly".

Earlier, Tánaiste Micheál Martin has indicated that the day Ireland goes to the polls will be dealt with by the three coalition party leaders within the next week.

Those comments came after Green Party leader Roderic O'Gorman said he wanted the general election to be held on 29 November.

So with so much talk in political and media circles about the date, how are you, the voters, feeling?

Do you even care when it is scheduled for?

That's a question Jack McCarron and Eleanor Mannion put to people in the Dublin Central constituency.

At the last general election in 2020, it saw the lowest turnout nationally at 51.2%.

So how are voters here feeling this time around? Watch our video to find out.
