A new opinion poll suggests that Fine Gael has gained support and opened up a five-point lead on both Sinn Féin and Fianna Fáil.
The Business Post/Red C poll indicates that Fine Gael is on 23%, up two points.
It suggests Sinn Féin is down two points, at 18% while Fianna Fáil is also on 18%, a drop of one point.
The five-point gap could lead to pressure within Fine Gael for Taoiseach Simon Harris to call a November general election.
Independents are unchanged at 15%.
The Social Democrats are up one point to 6%.
Labour is up one point to 4%.
The Green Party is down one point to 4%.
Independent Ireland is also down one point to 4%.
People Before Profit/Solidarity is unchanged at 3%.
Aontú is up one point to 4%.
1,004 adults were surveyed online between 5 September and 10 September.
The margin of error is plus or minus 3%.
