Months of study will come to a head for thousands of students when the Leaving Cert exams begin on Wednesday 5 June.
The final push is a busy, stressful time for everyone, particularly if students are juggling other commitments.
17-year-old Caoimhe Kelly is in that camp.
Caoimhe is the vice-captain of the Galway minor camogie team and has just started training with the senior county panel.
"It's important to have something to get away to, when you have loads of homework and study to be doing. You can get away in the evening and get your mind off it," she said.
Caoimhe is a pupil at St Killian’s College in New Inn, Ballinasloe, Co Galway but she has been playing camogie since before she started school.
Her father Pádraig has a hurling All-Star from his time playing for Galway, and he is also her school principal.
Caoimhe said it helps that he understands the importance of both sport and study as "it’s definitely hard to juggle the two" especially when county practice could see her training an hour from home on a school night.
Caoimhe is hoping to study "something related to maths" at the University of Galway and says she is glad that camogie training will help her to keep in touch with her friends if they all end up in different colleges.
