Watch: How concerned are you about climate change?

"We are living through climate collapse in real time."

That was the starkest of warnings from UN head Antonio Guterres on the opening day of COP28 in Dubai.

Mr Guterres had a clear message for the 198 countries negotiating at the UN climate summit: "We have the road map to limit the rise in global temperature to 1.5C and avoid the worst of climate chaos.

"But we need leaders to fire the starting gun at COP28 on a race to keep the 1.5C limit alive, by committing to triple renewables and double energy efficiency, and committing to phase out fossil fuels, with a clear timeframe aligned to the 1.5C limit."

While the scale of the challenge is daunting, experts say we all have a part to play in tackling it.

In our video, we asked people in Clontarf in Dublin - an area of the coastline prone to flooding - how concerned they are about climate change and what steps they would take in their personal lives to help make a difference.
