The chair of the Dáil's Public Accounts Committee has welcomed a decision by RTÉ to provide it with a copy of a note taken during a meeting in which the presenter Ryan Turbidy's contract was discussed.

However, Brian Stanley was critical of the amount of time it took RTÉ to make the note available.

The document was provided on the condition that it was only discussed by the PAC in private session.

However, a summary version has also been provided to politicians, which can be discussed publicly.

RTÉ provided the Dáil's Public Accounts Committee with this note yesterday evening.

TDs will get to see it, in private session, on Tuesday.

However, a summary version, which can be discussed publicly, has been circulated to members.

Mr Stanley has seen both versions and says he is satisfied that the summary reflects the contents of the original note.

This note was drafted by an RTÉ legal representative, during a meeting between Ryan Tubridy's agent NK Management and the former Director General Dee Forbes.

The summary version, seen by RTÉ News, indicates efforts on the part of NK Management to seek a written guarantee of the controversial tripartite agreement.

Separately, RTÉ is due to unveil its Strategic Vision next week, which will detail cost-cutting plans for the organisation.
