An eight-year-old boy from Dublin who became trapped in Gaza after Israel began its air strikes against Hamas has given an insight into life in the besieged enclave.
Sami Alagha and his family, who are all Irish citizens, were in Gaza City for an extended holiday when Israel began its bombardment.
They have since become stranded in the conflict zone, with Sami's father Ibrahim expressing fears that they will run out of food and water if they cannot be evacuated.
There are around 90 people sheltering in his parents' house in Khan Yunis.

"Every day people are dying," Sami said in a video filmed by his father. "Some parents are dying and their kids don't know where to go. I can't go to sleep because I am scared and I need someone to sleep with me.
"I can't go outside because there are drones with cameras. One might see me and blow me up."
Israel began its retaliatory airstrikes after an attack by Hamas gunmen on 7 October which killed at least 1,400 people.
Gaza's health ministry says more than 5,000 people have been killed in the bombardment since then.
Women and children have made up more than 62 per cent of the fatalities.
"I miss Dublin. I miss my friends, my toys, my house, my teacher, my school," Sami said.
"I'm not happy here. I'm very scared and a lot of houses have been destroyed everywhere."
