Gardaí are investigating a violent attack on a woman who was found lying on the ground near Dublin Airport yesterday morning.
The woman was discovered lying beside a perimeter fence in the Collinstown area at around 8am.
The victim, who is in her 40s, sustained serious head and facial injuries.
She was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she remains this evening.
Her injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.
Gardaí at Dublin Airport garda station are investigating the incident.
