Flights were suspended at Dublin Airport for around ten minutes today after a drone sighting in the vicinity of the airfield.
The incident happened just after midday, leading to two flights - one Aer Lingus flight from Frankfurt and one Ryanair flight from Birmingham - being diverted to Belfast.
A number of other aircraft were required to hold for a "very short period", Dublin Airport operator daa said.
In a statement, daa said: "The public are reminded that it is illegal to fly a drone without permission within 5km of Dublin Airport."
The diversions come at a busy time for the airport, which recorded its busiest ever day last month when a total of 120,585 passengers travelled through the airport last Sunday.
July saw just over 3.4 million passengers travel through the airport - 13% higher than the same month in 2022 and on a par with July 2019.
That figure for July at Dublin Airport included 205,000 transfer and transit passengers.
All 31 days in July saw passengers numbers of more than 100,000, according to daa.
