Video: An immense talent remembered

The globally acclaimed singer songwriter Sinéad O'Connor has died at the age of 56.

Her 1987 debut album, 'The Lion and the Cobra', was described as "one of the most electrifying debuts in rock history".

She shot to worldwide fame with the single 'Nothing Compares 2 U' in 1990, which sold millions of copies.

The Grammy-award winner went on to record ten albums in total.

She was often provocative and controversial, and outspoken in her social and political views.
