A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Polish man in Navan, Co Meath.
Thirty-seven-year-old Sandra Sandaraite, with an address Academy Street, Navan, was brought before Navan District Court this evening.
Zbigniew Czech was killed at a property on Academy Street in the town on Saturday night.
Detective Sergeant Raymond Smith of Kells Garda Station gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.
He told the court that Ms Sandaraite was arrested following the incident and brought to Kells Garda Station.
Det Sgt Smith said she made no reply when charged with the murder of Zbigniew Czwch at 2.25pm.
Solicitor for the accused Tertius Van Eeden made an application for legal aid.
Judge Cormac Dunne granted the request.
He remanded the accused in custody to appear before Trim District Court on Thursday via video link.
