Gardaí renew appeal over 'unexplained' Dublin death

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward followed the death of a man in "unexplained circumstances" in Dublin yesterday.

The man, who was in his 60s, was found injured on the Old Navan Road in Mulhuddart early yesterday morning and taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he later died.

A post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday evening. Gardaí are not releasing the results for "operational reasons".

Gardaí are keen to speak to anyone who was "in the vicinity of Blanchardstown Road North, the Old Navan Road and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and surrounding areas between 12am and 3am and observed any activity which drew their attention".

A garda spokesperson added: "Any road users (particularly taxi drivers) or pedestrians who were travelling in these areas at these times who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to gardaí."
